News: East Belfast Supermarket Robbed
The police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Co-op supermarket on the Cregagh Road in East Belfast.
During the robbery which took place at
approximately 9pm on Friday the 7th January 2011, a female employee was
threatened, told to open the till and had a knife
held to her throat.
The robber then made off towards the Woodstock Road, with a sum of money.
The woman was unhurt during the ordeal and although very shaken is said to be recovering well.
The robbery of this supermarket
follows only days after the post office housed in the same building was robbed.
