Light Robbery
A cash delivery van has been targeted and robbed at Asda Supermarket,
Dundonald on the outskirts of East Belfast. Reports indicate
that a 'substantial amount of money' was stolen during the raid which took place at approximately 1pm on Friday.
A assailant is alleged to have threatened the van driver, with what he thought was a knife, before making off with the haul. The man then made off with his accomplice in a blue Renault
Megane, which was later found abandoned in the Canberra Park area. Reports indicate that the two men then made off in a waiting car, described as dark coloured and driven by a third man.
The case is being investigated by detectives in Castlereagh, who have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Where you in the Church Road or Canberra Park areas of Dundonald,
East Belfast on Friday between 12:45 and 1:45pm?
Did you see the robber who is described as: 20s or 30s, 6ft
3" with short dark hair. He was reported as wearing a white hooded top with a black stripe across the shoulders and down the
