Christmas is on the way and what better sign than the Big Lights Switched on. With the tree outside Belfast City Hall being lit up for Christmas on Tuesday the 18th November 2008. The event saw appearances from the city born Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy and 'X Factor' finalists 'Same Difference'. The big switch on also saw the opening of the very popular Continental Market.
